Introduction

Empowering writers to make informed decisions about AI integration in their writing process.

AI platforms exist in the context of the greater economy, university, and writing center pedagogy, with their own ethical concerns and motivations. It is important to acknowledge that just as we critically evaluate sources and resources within our writing processes, AI platforms require the same critical consumption when used for writing.

Understanding how to use AI platforms ethically and effectively is important, as this knowledge will enhance our ability as writers to productively and skillfully engage with AI tools in the classroom or workforce.

This standardized test resource is designed to prompt informed interaction with AI, so each writer can make their own judgments on how best to use AI in their process.

First and foremost, there are a wide variety of ethical considerations when using AI. Please review the Ethical Considerations page and do your own research on how AI uses and delivers information before using AI as a tool.

Please only continue to the standardized test if you understand and are okay with the potential impacts of the ethical considerations.
